Why I created this library
Hi, I’m Siobhan, I’m the founder of Casey & Fox, and I’ve been designing colourful, characterful homes for more than 14 years.
During that time, I’ve seen the same problems crop up again and again. People struggle to know which builder to trust, where their budget will make the biggest difference, whether a layout really works, or which decisions need to be made before work begins.
I created this resource library to share the advice I regularly give to clients. Everything here is based on real projects, real questions and the practical lessons that come from working through renovations, decorating projects and property developments.
Some resources will help you make better decisions. Others will help you ask sharper questions, prepare properly and avoid mistakes that are expensive, disruptive or simply a complete pain in the neck.
Think of it as having an experienced interior designer in your corner, without the jargon, judgement or assumption that the answer is always to buy something new.

Books Worth Making Room For
Interior design books I own and genuinely recommend….
As the daughter of a librarian, books have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Long before I decided to train as an interior designer, I was already collecting books about interiors, architecture, design history and buildings of historical or heritage importance.
When I was studying at KLC School of Design in Chelsea Harbour, there was a tiny but heavenly RIBA bookshop on the ground floor of the Design Centre. Many an hour was lost in there, happily perusing all sorts of paper treasures. Inevitably, quite a few of them came home with me.
My collection has grown rather substantially since then. I couldn’t tell you exactly how many interior design books I own, but when we moved house a few years ago, boxes numbered 59 through to 87 were all labelled “design books”. I’ll leave you to use your imagination.
A good interior design book does far more than provide beautiful rooms to admire. It can help you see colour differently, understand why a space works, find a way through a decorating conundrum or give you the courage to choose something more personal than whatever happens to be filling Instagram that week.
The books gathered here are ones I own, return to and genuinely recommend. Some are wonderfully practical. Others are glorious sources of inspiration, filled with colour, pattern, art, unusual homes, architectural detail and clever ideas. Each has earned its place in my personal design library, which, as you may have gathered, is saying something.
Whether you are planning a renovation, decorating a room or simply enjoy nosing around characterful interiors, I hope you discover something here worth making room for.
