So how many of you have heard of the term greenwashing?
Greenwashing is more than just a buzzword; it’s a tactic many brands use to mislead us about their eco-friendliness.
🌍How to Spot Greenwashing?
Look for third-party certifications: Genuine eco-friendly products often have certifications like Fair Trade, FSC, or Energy Star from recognised, trusted organisations.
🌍Ask questions: Does the company provide transparency about sourcing and production? Are there details on how the product is sustainable, or is it vague?
🌍Do the claims match the product’s impact? A product marketed as sustainable should have clear details on how it benefits the planet—whether it’s through materials, production methods, or lifecycle.
By being aware of greenwashing, you as homeowners and fellow planet-dwellers can make more informed, responsible choices and hold companies accountable for their environmental claims.
In your case, we at Casey & Fox can highlight authentic, sustainable choices in design and products, helping you make genuine eco-friendly decisions when it comes to your home renovation!

The last few weeks have definitely been a shock to the system. But yesterday, I had the most amazing catch-up with a good friend who also happens to be an ID.
We spent the morning brainstorming business ideas, exchanging encouragement, contacts, and exploring new ways to tackle our tasks.
Feeling recharged and ready to take on the next challenge!

Had a brilliant time this past weekend. Somerset House was on fine form hosting Collect 2025. Saw some of my favourite artists and met some new ones. Was wonderful to feed my creative soul!
I LOVE how sunny Australia is😎!
Recently escaped there to attend a wonderful family wedding. Had the best time catching up with old friends as well as visiting all my favourite art galleries and dealers. Heaven!
Loving these cool blue tones today.

RIP Lance Reddick 😢
Such a talented actor. Just so sad. 60… he was so young.
I’m a massive Fringe and Bosch fan and he had such presence!
I have no words. 😢
Condolences to his family and all who knew him. X
Sooo… this is my first post in quite a while. Last year was just so craaazzzzy busy on a rather large all consuming project which came to fruition in December. There was simply no time to think. This year has been busy, but for different reasons.
We moved house! (And office)
We saw quite a lot of houses, however we were completely sold on the garden at our new home. It’s really rather something special and kudos is 100% due to the previous owners (who lived here for 40 years!).
I feel like we won the lottery here… but especially on mornings like today where we woke up to this blanket of Narnia snow!
Brrrr… but oh so beautiful.
Now, can anyone tell me… do we still do this hashtag thing? Or have the rules changed again?

🖼 I LOVE art – but art is subjective; we either love it or hate it and can’t always explain why – it’s just a feeling.
So how do we select art for a client?
Here are my five top tips for sourcing art for your clients:
1. Be open and confident. Consider all genres of art, not just contemporary, and also different media: art includes photography, sculpture, and textiles. Emerging artists are worth consideration, as well as more established ones.
Have confidence in what you like – choosing art can be more intuitive than you think.
2. Budget.
Our clients’ budgets can influence the art we can select. In an ideal world, it would be great to love what we buy irrespective of the price, but this, in reality, isn’t always the case.
Think smart – artworks don’t have to cost the earth. Emerging artists can often offer pieces for less money, and who knows… prices are influenced by trends; they can go up! You may be investing your client’s money in the ‘next big thing’.
(One of my own favourite pieces is from a flea market in Prague 20 years ago, purchased for £40)
3. Space.
You will, of course, be considering the look and feel you are trying to achieve. Be conscious of the size of the space and the furniture already in the room when choosing art. Would a small artwork get lost in the room? Would a large piece over-dominate?
The space can be an opportunity to introduce moments of interest – create a talking point – you can dare to be different (especially if your client is adventurous).
4. Colour match?
Know that art doesn’t need to match the décor – in fact, often better that you don’t. By all means, pick up a hue to create some visual cohesion, but remember tastes change, and it is always a good idea to select work that will sit happily should the client decide to change the décor in the future.
5. Group work.
Art does not have to be singular pieces. A series of works based upon a theme or by a particular artist can create a very bespoke and customised collection for your client.
Do you have any pieces of art or particular artists you have chosen or can recommend?

A rare site pic… managed to get the lads (Jason Aldous from @plan_a_uk_ltd on the right and Ludmil Lazarov from #stenmaxltd on the left) to stand still for 5 mins. 😂
Working on a really lovely Victorian home in Hampstead and we were inspecting the roof for the upcoming roof terrace installation.
Our clients are super lucky and have the most lovely view towards the city from here (not visible in this pic).
Sunsets here are going to be such a treat for them!
The weather just needs to warm up now… brrr… it was chilly up there today.

Oh my hat!
I’ve just remembered… Casey & Fox has been going for 10 years as of last month! It’s been so hectic lately, I barely know what day it is at the moment.
Life is all good though. And we are just so blessed to be working one some lovely projects with some fantastic clients.
But doesn’t time go by in a blink? Wonder what we’ll be doing 10 years from now.
Big love to my team who helped me along by the way.
I’d love to give a massive shout out to some of the lovely peeps who have helped me get this far… big ❤️ to you all.

It’s been a while since I posted anything here. Work is just so busy at moment, has been for the last year if I’m honest.
Anyway, we’ve been needing to escape our neighbours noisy building works for a bit. So hubby and I have taken a sojourn to Camber Sands to this little oasis called @thegallivant
The relaxed folksy interiors are food for my soul. I feel like I’ve come away to a family holiday home.
Bliss!
So I’m doing the annual boring but necessary purge of our shed today. Lady Lola has decided to make herself very comfortable observing activities.

Hi all. This is one of my recent purchases. A wee Chinese ginger jar, unusual in that it’s mainly green in colour.
I loved the colouring and it has joined my wee family of many… many… ginger jars.

My Bonus Tip for Styling with Books
🌸Bonus Tip🌸
Ramming bookshelves completely full of books and nothing but books, is quite frankly, boring.
So do remember to leave some negative space around the books for better impact.
Oh there are so many more tips I could share, however, I will leave those for another day.😁

My 5th of 5 Tips for Styling with Books
Last but not least....
#5. Books don’t always need to be stored vertically on a shelf or surface.
Have a few larger books, like art books for example, laying horizontally on the surface, the bonus here is... the spines are easier to read. 😁
I have a luscious Ralph Lauren book that I was given several years ago.
It is h u m u n g o u s! Far too large to sit vertical on any shelf so it always lays down with a beautiful glass art bowl on top... I’ll share a pic some time.
Full of inspirational images and I LOVE it. If the house was on fire, after hubby and the pets, this would be definitely on the list of things to grab on the way out.
Which book would you grab in a hurry on the way out the door?

My 4th of 5 Tips for Styling with Books
#4. Resist the fashion trends that are sometimes shown in magazines and please... please do not organise books by height, that never helps when it comes to finding anything (unless you have a crazy good memory).
Your books should always be organised by category first, and then if you are feeling super organised, by author.
Many many years ago when I was an Au Pair in the States, I remember being delegated the summer task of sorting through a massive library of the books, which spanned wall to wall, ceiling to floor of the playroom.
I roped the 3 kids in to help and we made a massive game of it.... however we possibly took much longer then we should have, as we kept stopping to read each other the stories of our favourite books.
However they learned an appreciation for reading out To each other as well what made a book readable again and again.
I still have favourite books that I read over again. What about you? I’d love to know yours 😀

My 3rd of 5 Tips for Styling with Books
This is probably one of the more important ones.
#3. Keep your vintage, limited / signed / first editions AWAY from natural light. The suns UV rays are a death sentence to covers which will bleach and eventually disintegrate if left.
If your bookshelves are next to a bright window or in a conservatory, then without delay, look into installing UV film on the glass to prevent any further damage.
🔖Supplier Shout-out🔖
If you do need UV film for your windows, skylight, beach-house or conservatory, then I would recommend having a chat with the lovely James Wilson at Sun-X.
They have worked with me on a few projects and the difference the UV film can make to a space is unreal from temperature change, no more bleaching of rugs and floors and safe-guarding our favourite furniture from the sun`s rays.

My 2nd of 5 Tips for Styling with Books
So large coffee table books tend to have a dust jacket. These sizable books look beautiful and have a real impact, however should someone actually put a coffee mug on the book itself 😱 then you will be sure to be left with an unsightly ring mark.
#2 ALWAYS cover your large beautiful coffee table book dust covers in clear archive quality cellophane, for long-lasting protection.
🔖Supplier shout-out🔖
I`ve always gone straight to Care4Books for my archival jacket covers. The high quality film is perfect for keeping books in pristine condition, no matter if they are coffee tables books on couture fashion, or a signed limited edition Steven King hardback. The film comes on a roll so you only use what you need per book.
What`s sitting on your coffee table right now and why do you keep it there?

My 5 Tips for Styling with Books
So if you know me, it will be no surprise when I confess that I have a lot of books. Now when I say a lot of books, I really do mean..... a LOT of books.
I have fairytale books from my childhood. I have sci-fi novels which my husband introduced me to when we first started dating. I have holiday novels (as well as a healthy supply of Lonely Planets), vintage books of classic tales like The Count of Monte Christo; limited editions and signed first editions. As the daughter of a librarian and avid book lover, books have been in my blood for decades.
So when it comes to styling with your own book collection, here is my 1st of 5 Top Tips for Styling with Books:
Tip # 1. Lonely planets and other travel guides are incredibly useful for your holidays. However, unless you are working on a blue colour scheme, the blue spines are not massively attractive. So perhaps have these in a low traffic room like a study or guest bedroom.
Stay tuned for the next 4 tips 😃 Do you know how many books you have? When last did you count? 😂 I daren`t start....🤣

Bathroom Design Tips
If you are like me, you may have perhaps quite a few lotions and potions about in the bathroom, in the everlasting hope that one of them might work. 😂
So, one of the questions I always ask my clients is: how many shampoo bottles do you like to have in the shower and how tall are they?
If the wall construction allows, I always try and get the most specific information possible, in order that the shower storage is designed efficiently.
I had great fun in designing this particular bathroom for some really lovely clients, with a good friend of mine and fellow designer @helenedabrowskiinteriors

I just can’t resist blue and white Oriental ceramic pottery, and this majestic piece in the @thefitzwilliamuseum.priv Museum was just stunning.
I collect a few pieces myself, luckily not in the Uber valuable range as my ginger kitten got a fright at something the other day, went tearing through the house and I’m sad to say, there were a few losses 😢 as a result.
Oh well, it’s an excuse to pay a visit to some favourite antique shops in the country right? 😁
I’m off to do a spot of volunteering work in my local park this morning. It’s been neglected for many years and a group of us locals are attempting to clean it up to enable it to be useable and enjoyable for all.
We’ve been a bit housebound this week, crazy busy with work so I’m looking forward to a bit of fresh air. Hubby is treating me to a lunch date after that will be lovely. I better get a move on 😂
What are you up to this weekend
